EURO-FEREASTRA: The market perspectives, analyzed at the conference

On the 14th of May 2013, over 500 experts of the most important companies in the construction industry, thermo-insulating sector and related fields gathered at the Radisson Blu Hotel - Bucharest, in Atlas hall, to participate at the works of the fifth edition of the International Conference on Joinery and Curtain Walls EURO-Fereastra, whose symposia were carried out simultaneously with the ones of the International Conference on Sustainable Construction and Energy Efficiency EURO-Constructii (second edition). As a result - and, furthermore, on the basis of the wide interest raised by the topics presented - the two events were again successful, representing a response to the information need of the professionals from the industry. During EURO-Fereastra, the attention of the specialists was directed towards the public debate of issues of the window and curtain walls market, highlighting the current situation and its perspectives on national and European level, which resulted from the analysis of the main macroeconomic indicators. A special topic consisted in the new design trends - in the light of sustainability - of thermo-insulating joinery assemblies (in the acknowledgement of the renowned German Institute IFT Rosenheim), while the trends of the European and the local profile markets were another topic of interest addressed during the Special Session of the EURO-Fereastra 2013 works. In this regard, Jürgen Benitz-Wildenburg, IFT Rosenheim specialist, showed that the windows must combine in the future the special thermal protection with the applicability (intended use), referring to the concept of energy labeling (since currently there is no uniform criteria for joinery, as it is for household appliances). IFT Rosenheim has developed a standardized energy label for joinery items in accordance with ISO 18292, which was subjected to the approval of the competent European authorities and it is hoped that, once adopted, it should be applied in all EU countries. In turn, Dennis Rauen, Interconnection Consulting Group analyst, said that the window market from Eastern Europe is on a gradual recovery trend and the level of deliveries in the region similar to the one recorded in the last year before the occurrence of the economic crisis, will be reported in 2014.
